Rainy days are good for museums, so I went on an art tour..
First the National Gallary, which everyone else had seen on Tuesday when I was at the British Museum.
If you want to skip dozens of pictures of the world's greatest art you can skip down to the end of the webpage for more pictures of us at drinks and dinner.

I found the front entrance to the National Gallery and was fairly shocked at the circus in Trafalgar Square.
I mentioned the sharp contrast between inside the Gallary with the outside to one of the museum attendents and he readily stated 'oh yes, heavan and hell it is'.
I walked to the Courtauld Gallery...

Vincent stares right back at you for as long as you linger in front of him - my favorite painting at the Courtauld
13:20

After the Courtauld I took the Tube over to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
In any other city this museum may be a centerpiece of the town.
In London it is overshadowed by many other better museums and unfortunately isn't really worth the time or effort.
Raphael's Tapestry cartoons were by far the most impressive display, but they were so huge and the lighting was so low I couldn't photograph them.
