Robby's Senior Trip

Hello Everyone!

We made it. It's been a very nice relaxing day at the pool with great food. We are off early tomorrow at 6:30 to the Mayan Ruins. I'll keep you posted. Everyone is having a great time!

We had an early rise around 6:30 am and enjoyed a delicious breakfast before heading north to the Mayan Ruins in Lamanai. It was amazing to be able to walk on these ancient structures.

Our trip to these ruins was 27 miles up river by boat. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch with fresh coconuts to drink.

We leave our hotel tomorrow to travel to the baboon sanctuary, visit a local school, and stay at our second hotel in Saint Ignacious.

Everyone is healthy and enjoying their time here in Belize.

What an amazing time zip lining and exploring the howler monkey reserve and Belize zoo.

We are in the heart of the jungle looking forward to more adventures tomorrow.

A beautiful morning here with lots of sunshine. We had breakfast at 6:30 and then headed to the Butterfly Farm. From there we traveled across the river to Xunantunich, which translates into Stone Lady. These ruins were amazing along with our guides and their knowledge of the history of these structures. After a great lunch we went to Saint Ignacious and roamed the market and enjoyed some icecream. A few are going horseback riding this afternoon.  The rest are enjoying the beautiful grounds we're staying on before dinner at 6:30. We will be celebrating Julie Sorfleet's 18th birthday tonight.

We will be traveling to the Ambergris Caye tomorrow morning and enjoying cave tubing along the way.

Time is flying and it's been so fun traveling with this group.

We hated to leave our beautiful jungle bungalows this morning. We had breakfast at 6:30. We were all on the bus at 7:15 to be first to explore the caves by inner tube. It was amazing! I wish I had pictures to share but I can't download my go pro until we get home.

We traveled then to San Pedro. The island is stunning! Our hotel is right on the beach which the students took full advantage of immediately!

We enjoyed fresh fish for dinner tonight. We have a busy day tomorrow starting with the sea trek and snuba. Then in the afternoon we will set out to snorkel and swim with the sharks (nice ones).

It was a long day of traveling by boat to get here but the ocean air has been worth it.

I promise beautiful pictures tomorrow.

Today was the icing on the cake! I can't believe how wonderful it was to explore the second largest barrier reef along the coast here. We have already seen so many amazing things but to swim with sea turtles, sting rays, trumpet fish and sharks and even be able to touch them was unbelievable and a chance of a lifetime. Many underestimated the powerful sun being this close to the equator so we all look sun kissed.

We are enjoying some shopping and live music tonight. We begin our journey home at 5:00 tomorrow morning. We've had an unBELIZAble time! I'm sure you will enjoy the many pictures and stories!
