Day 6 - Paris to Normandy
Sunday morning Dusty again was awake for much of the night, and again
awoke at 9:40 or so. By 11:30 we were at the catacombs, where you walk
alone the tunnels until you get the anonymous bones of millions of
Parisians. After the initial shock it becomes somewhat ‘more
of the same’. There were only a few dozen people in the
catacombs with us, all trying to figure out how to get good pictures
without using flash, which was forbidden. Apparently the dead do not
like flash photography.
Catacombs (yes, I used a flash for this picture, but not the others)

CJ's picture - mine turned out fuzzy
We then grabbed a snack - at McDonald's again - before heading up to
Sacre-Coeur, checking out the shops along the way. The church was nice,
but after a while it feels too new and pristine (since it is) compared
others we’d seen.

At this point Kathy and Robby headed back to the apartment while CJ and
I kept on, seeing the Church of St-Pierre-de-Montemartre, Place du
Tertre, and Moulin de la Galette, where Renoir’s Bal du
Moulin de la Galette that we’d seen yesterday at the Orsay
was painted. That evening we did more laundry (fun!) and got ready to
leave Paris.
